FJ60 radio wiring - why is my red constant? (1 Viewer)

We are installing a new old radio in the FJ60 today (Merry Christmas to me!) and based on what I’ve red on Mud so far, red is supposed to be accessory power. However, in this truck it seems red is constant power. Anyone have any ideas why the red is constant and not accessory??

Many accessories on the cruiser have switched grounds - so the positive is always live (but fused).
