Why? Some things I go OEM and others I don't. Fuel filters is something I don't.
I should probably amend that statement. I tried running aftermarket fuel filter (don't remember the manufacturer) but had issues with fitting the fuel lines and they seemed to need replacing quicker. My assessment, unfortunately, is not based on a measurable metric.
But after seeing OS's super filter, I'm not sure that OEM is necessarily the best option out there....but I'll continue to use OEM until I need to install a super filter like the one that OS posted up...

Originally the carb guy had said to use MARVEL Mystery Oil and run it through a full tank before testing - is HEET similar?
Spoke with him this morning and he is going to cordinate with the smog guy to do what he mentioned in my prior post. Will keep everyone updated - many thanks to all!

SHE PASSED!!! And did so with flying colors on the last test. Looks like the Cat and Muffler/Exhaust really needed to be replaced. All the numbers are well below the Max. Thank you all for your help and ideas. Betty (As I call her) is back on the road and running like a champ!!!
