They can be installed in US doors. Whether or not it's easy...To be honest, I don't know. The red door came with it already installed. It doesn't look difficult. It appears to use the same hardware to raise and lower the window as the regular set up. I'll take a closer look and some closer pictures on my way home from work saturday morning.
