Is there a long and a short version of the 19 spline trans (4spd) for the fj60? I have to pick one up for one of my 60s and I think there is a 17 spline version also. Is there two types of 19 splines, a long and a short. Are there any markings/#s I should look for to ensure it will bolt into the 87 w/o fab to the driveline ? Need it for an 87 model.

Yes, in 1985 the transmission got longer, so it would be the same length as the H55F, so you want a transmission that was built after 4/1985. You can tell because it will have a "spacer on the back end.

10-4. I will have a pic of the tranny sent to me. The seller was not sure if it was the long version. Thanks for the info.
