Hi. Need some direction, references, or basically what do I do now advice. First, although I have owned five cruisers (and still have three including the 45), I have never done a restoration. The first photo is the 45 when I bought it in 1996. For financial reasons I sold it about 7 years ago with the stipulation of...if you ever decide to sell it, let me know. As you can see, I got it back. My first cruiser, how could I not! Im going to continue pulling it apart but would love some advice from you pros on what is the smartest way, sequence of events, whatever, to tackle a project like this. Everything so far, minus putting it up on jackstands and removing the tires, was done by the PO. I do have all the parts.

Thanks in advance!

Dave

You have a good start with a good 45 to start with. If you are going to do a frame off you will need to take it all the way down to the frame. A good idea is to get a bunch of baggies to put your parts in and use a marker pin to ID them. Put them in marked boxes as to the order you take it a part.Take it from a person that has said as you take it apart you will remember, NOT. Take it piece by piece and restore the pieces and discover how much fun it is to move forward in the restore process. If you have skills you might be able to do most of it yourself if not when you get done you will or be farther along for your other FJ. Good Luck Skip
