fj40 wiper blade length

quick question , i did a quick search and found nothing ,

just curious how long the stock wiper blade is suppose to be on a 40 ,,

i found a local place with a whole bunch of 11 inch wiper blades for $ 3.00 Can

Whatever it is it has to be less than 13 inches, otherwise you'll wipe the metal above and below the windshield!! The 11 inch sounds about right.

I was given a pair of 11 inch blades, and they're an inch shorter than what was on the truck before. It may also be a consideration that the new blades are a little longer on one side of the pivot than the other.

Though mine are new, I think I'll replace them soon with 12 inch'ers. The pattern that the two wipers sweep out on the windshield only just meets in the centre of the winshield (ie. there's more UN-swept windshield with the shorter blades).

My wipers are on the bottom of the windshield... it might make a difference if you've got the older one's above the windshield.

interesting , the reason i was asking last night was because i couldn't access my truck and i found a bunch of cheap 11 inches , i do wan't the longest wiper i can fit , will go check out my rig on sat . thanks for the replys , i thought i had 12 inchers on mine ,

12" on mine. That's also what the chart at the parts place recommended for the FJ40. The 11s might be for those Chrysler products.

fit just fine and the price can't be beat....

there is no way 13's will fit without them hitting the frame. Or modifying from stock

you can see the 12 incher on the passenger side, assuming the image actually appears....
no rubbing, no mods, bone stock on a 78...
