Fj40 V8 Radiator? (1 Viewer)

What radiator should I use for my fj40? I'm swapping a 350, sm465, and 3spd transfer case. Don't want to pay big bucks for the downey radiator.

I just had mine 4 cored and put in a 19" 6 blade flex fan and made a fan shroud and It seems to run from 185 to 205 degrees

try ebay for an aluminum one. there seem to be a lot of good prices, like $160 for around the size of one you need

wayne is right, stick to the stock radiator and have it recored. You stay original but gain the cooling effects of 4 core.

mine is also recored, but 5 rows. No overheat problems, and I've been too lazy (for 10 years) to make a shroud....

Any radiator shop outta be able to help ya, find one that works on forklift stuff tho, they tend to be my favorites....

I've got the ebay $135 aluminum one. I just looked up the guy for a friend. They are up to $165 now. I've got the phone number at home. The guy is out of Iowa and builds them for dirt track cars.
