I know this has been posted many times, but the answers seem to vary. I have a 1969 FJ40 with a 4" HFS lift and 1 1/2" shackles. Can I fit 35" tires on it? Occasional off roading, live in the flat lands.

Great looking vehicle! What size wheel and tire width?I have the same suspension and clear 35s. Rear fenders were cut by the P.O. so I'm not sure if it will rub or not with uncut fenders.

Thanks!!! They are Procomp 35 x 12.50 x 15s on 7 inch wide white spokes. Some here will say the rims are too narrow, my 15 years with this combo and absolutely no issues say otherwise.Great looking vehicle! What size wheel and tire width?
"extended bump stops".....DIY or purchased?Probably yes. Should rub the rear wheel wells during articulation. You can limit up travel with extended bump stops. Or hack out bigger wheel wells.
love it! What brand wheels are those?35's fit well and look pretty good on a 4" lift.
Rear wells were trimmed by PO, but I have no rubbing issues. Technically, these are 315×75R×16, but close enough.
