My dad just gave me a set of what appears to be some steelies off a 40... I am trying to find out if these are the ones that will clear the front Disc calipers or are the drum ones as I want to slap these on my FJ62.. Here are a couple pics of wheels... Any thoughts?

Welded non riveted so yes they fit disc brakes. I also see a 79 date which would indicate they fit disc brake axles.

Thanks what's the welded not riveted part you are talking about on the rim?

How the inner part connects to the outer section. Can see weld marks. On the earlier drum wheel they used rivets you can see the rivets in the exposed section and the inner section covered by a tube.

Old “drum” style would have 2 rivets holding this “ear” of the inner to the outer.

Yours is welded, inicative of a newer “disc” compatible wheel.
