FJ40 Running Board Question - Is this stock?

Trying to determine if these running boards are stock. I'm told they came from a '73 FJ40. The piece I'm questioning is the plate on top. It appears to be a separate piece of diamond plate metal that is attached (spot welded?) to the lower part. Is this a stock configuration for a FJ40/45 running board? If so, for what years?

That was stock for that era. What I have on my 71.
 
Stock on '73

My '40 has them. Had them sandblasted and Rhino Coated 'cause they were a bit slippery.

Dang, those are sweet. Mine have been over rocks, been used as a tool bench and already rusted thru in almost everybolt hole... aside from the little wave in the rear, they look killer. :D

And mine have the diamond plate stock too... at least whats left of it. 9/72
