fj40 rain gutter

Has anyone epoxied the rain gutter to the hardtop instead of using rivets? If so how did it work out? I thought about doing this and then covering the gutter with a layer of fiber glass before reinstalling the
hardtop.

I guess you could do it, but your metal would need to be perfect. any corrosion would break the bond of the epoxy. You would also need a lot of clamps to hold it together while it sets.

I just seam sealed mine, and the epoxy stuff is great!

If you decide to stick with rivets, do yourself a favor and contact "Splangy" (ih8mud member). He fabricated a tool that makes rivet installation easy and quick.
