I have an '83 4x4 Pickup which I am in the process of selling, and i am just wondering if I should keep any of my spares, as I am looking at getting a '76FJ40
Would the front axle be the same, or the front driveshaft? Shocks? Did Toyota use any FJ parts for the early pickups?

Thanks

Keep the power steering pump, box, reservoir, hoses, front axle, rear diff

It is interchangeable with the front diff. Good trail spares for friends.

make sure the gear ratio is the same in the diff, then keep them not that you would take one on the trail with you, maybe the guts.

keep the knuckles.

Yep. I meant that they make a good spare if a friend breaks on the trail. You can keep one at camp. Not that you'd want to drag along a 3rd in the truck with you.
