New to the FJ40 world… Picked up two of them last weekend.
2/68 3-spd 27k orig miles, some nice patina, no rust/rot.
7/77 4-spd and very crusty but all there

been lurking here for the last couple weeks trying to learn... so going to just keep my ears & eyes open and get handy with the search function for a bit.

Amazing how many bezels on unmolested Cruisers are upside down!! Wonder who started the trend of flipping them?

some old sales brouchures show the bezels both ways, so it was thought that they were that way from the factory

the hood on the 77 has been changed

good find - hope you got them cheaper than most these days.
Imma plead the 5th on that. Pretty sure I scored all the way around... Just based on perusing current values especially of one’s as solid as this 68... according to the backstory the 68 was bought new by the rescue squad, it was light blue but was immediately painted white and had the winch added and the door lettering… – and inside has some holes drilled for some lights and radios and stuff that have long been removed… Couple holes behind the B pillar for a light bar as well… but it was never really driven much hence the ultra low miles… Guy I got it from bought it from the rescue squad number of years ago.
