I've recently purchased a 75 FJ40 that has been lifted via springs. I think it's lifted 4"...I'm trying to determine the actual height of the lift and ask for your help. The vehicle has 255/85/16 tires (swapping out for factory steel wheels), which measure 33.5" tall. The reference points I've used are at the underside of the front frame (near the bumper) and the underside of the back frame near the shackle mounts. The dimensions are both front 23" and drivers side back 26.5"/ passenger side back 27.5". I think the frame maybe bent in the rear...need to further investigate. Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated.

Try checking to top of the springs for any part numbers or markings that may give you something to look up.

Unfortunatelty there are no markings on the leaf springs. There was one paper label tag that's completely faded out.

measurements to the ground are about worthless unless both vehicles are set up exactly the same with the same components.
I understand that. That’s why I stated the tire size. If there is a better point of reference to help determine the lift I’d greatly appreciate it.

The springs are under the axle. I'm pretty certain it's a 4" lift.

I get it.... a gratuitous cruiserporn shot to show off your new 40, under the guise of seeking technical information. At the same time trying not to appear ostentatious. I'll play along......
In order to more accurately assess the situation, and give reliable opinions as to your situation, it is necessary for you to post more photos. Maybe a couple more angles of the exterior, then a few under the hood. Then for the interior we need to see the seats, dash, steering wheel, etc........

Nice looking 40. Congrats on your new purchase!

I’m pretty sure those are Rough Country 4” springs. I can see stock shackles, no military wrap, anti-friction pads between the leafs and similar spring clamp than in RC’s springs.
