FJ40 LED Tail Light Replacements (1 Viewer)

Have any of you cruiser heads tried out these FJ40 Specific Rear LED replacement lights? I am not sure who makes them but it looks like several sources online carry them. I am planning on building a custom rear bumper and wanted to mount these instead of the OEM rear lights. Sorry if I missed it on a thread. I did search and could not find any discussions on these.

it's just as easy to replace the bulbs in oem housings with led bulbs.

I have a similar taillight assembly I sourced out of Austraillia via eBay. They are much brighter than just updating the bulbs to LED.
Several other members run the same light with positive feedback.
Those resistors will keep you turn signal happy.

Slightly larger than the OEM.

Daylight hours but still bright and a worthwhile safety upgrade IMO.

Good to know! I may give these a try and report back. I like that they are the stock size but I will have to check and see if they come with resistors. Thanks for the info!

I used @SandiaFJ40's LED light kit for my build. They work great, fit into the OEM housing, and run off the OEM wiring.

I finally pulled the trigger on these after an I offered an ebay seller $50 for the pair. I will update on the install. I was hoping to incorporate them into a bumper build that that I coming up.
