This part of the hood is missing on the 1983 FJ45 Troopy that I recently acquired. Came up short searching for the information so I have two questions:

How is this part attached to the hood? It doesn’t look welded but maybe it is? Spot welds maybe?
Did the design vary over the years or will a mid 70’s (shown) be the same as an 80 to 84?

Appreciate any insight anyone has. Thanks

my 79 and 80 both have that bracket, never really looked at it to see how it is attached.

it is 2 pieces, the longer piece, maybe 7-8"
and the piece that holds the rod
