Fried my wiring harness trying to install a working speedo. Wanted to see if anyone might have a wiring harness for me to get my FJ40 back on the road.

Bump still looking for one!

So you don't need a whole witing harness, just the part for the cluster? I have several of those.

Calling your shop tomorrow Mark, so you can help me with what I really need. Looks like the solid white wire on the back of my speedo is the one that really fried, the one next to it White with the blue line should probably be replaced too. Everything else looks to be ok....

Nothing to discuss. I meant what I said in tech: you HAVE to pull the whole harness. If you want to call to remind me to look for one, that's great.
Those wires are not part of the cluster harness. The ARE the core of the main wiring loom.

As a preventative measure, you should buy and install some fusible link wire between the wire on the battery that is melting and the battery itself. The wire in question is bundled into the center of your main cowl loom, and if it melts, it WILL TAKE OUT YOUR WHOLE WIRING HARNESS! YOU WILL BE FAWKED! Fusible link is designed to melt before anything else.

The other suggestions posted here are all very good and useful. Ask lots of questions and be very careful.

Ok so full harness it is. Hope you have one for me!

will this work for you ?

I did replace the 2 white connectors , the old ones were SAD

These are 💯 % compatible with the non-locking tab early types

Same exact profile

Can't resist There are 2 different types depending on the year (and I am not sure the years) one is a 4x4 and the other is a 6x2. Here is a pic of each. And if by chance Mark doesn't have one. I have a drawer full.
