If/when my vacuum pump dies, I will just install a GM 1-wire alternator and a 12V Vacuum pump.Yeah that's the way mine is and that's reason why I don't drive my truck. I can't afford the breakdown. Parts are very rare to find in the United States and that's what makes me nervous. Eventually or if I ever do I might just sell the truck as is. The cost to repair is probably more prohibitive. Last time I think I had my Alternator Rebuild it cost me $450 CDN.
