FJ40 Electric power windowsr (1 Viewer)

Just saw a ‘79 fj40 on BAT that has power windows. I have not yet replaced my roll up crank window regulator. I have them but they are not yet in line for change out until fall. This option made me think a bit more about what it would take to replace them with electric…does someone here have more knowledge about this? Is it a fit from another Toyota model that works? OR, is it a total fabrication?

Subscribed. I bought an electric window set, but haven't installed it yet. I bought a roll cage from metal tech in Oregon, but it's so tight with the dash and window cranks that I'm installing them due to super low clearance.

In the course of Google searches overnight I found a kit for $260 and sent for it… it’s worth a try for me…I’ll post the job when I start it. I have to change my driver window regulator anyway so we’ll see how it works out
