FJ40 Door screws too long??? (1 Viewer)

Is this a common problem? The two screws I have circled are too long. SOR indicates these are the screws required. The top screw hits the felt and the bottom circled screw impedes my window from cranking all the way down. The window track hits the screw. I‘m going to use washers or get shorter screws, problem solved, but doesn’t seem right.

Yes, that is a common problem. You have to make sure that you use M6 x 1.0 short everyplace on the doors where the window travels. Overland Metric is a good source for JIS screws.

I think part of the problem is you are missing the flat washer and the lock washer on the screws. Both of them will shorten the screw length into the inner door.
