i have a 75 ffj40, ordered a new clutch kit, got it, went to put in and noticed it was the wrong one. i have a pre 74 kit in it and the kit i got is post 74. the flywheels are different and clutch fork is different. should i stick with the older clutch kit or get the newer fork and flywheel? does it matter which one is used? if i want to make it the right one is there anything else i need or just the flywheel and fork? thanks for any help

The newer style (diaphram) clutch usually gets better reviews. It is usually smoother and quieter. However, if you set up a finger style clutch correctly, it works good, also. To use the diaphram clutch, you need to use ALL associated parts as you indicated. Flywheel, clutch fork, bearings, etc. At this point, you either need to source the parts to make the diaphram clutch work or send back the kit you already have and get the finger style. It is up to you, really.
