I think there were a few different brackets for the charcoal canister. I’m looking for the one that is meant to fit on the angled part of the inner fender, I think allying to later models. This one:

I‘m interested in learning about what years this bracket was used. On my 1976 FJ40 it appears there is no bracket, it simply bolts onto passenger inside fender using C clamp as shown. Link to Toyota Parts Deal

My picture above is from a 1978 I think. My 1980 has that one as well. So at least as of 78 it appears it was the bigger angled bracket.
