I found a Non USA Genreal Markets NOS 21100-61010 OEM NOS carb which was originally on my truck in 4/1976 according to this parts link. I’m now running an aftermarket H3662 version of 21100-61012. What are the differences between OEM # 21100-61010 vs OEM #21100-61012?

My distributor is small cap vacuum advance non USA #19100-61010 link here

Anyone have a point of view on which one to choose for my application if I want to go with an OEM carb.

I’m not worthy to take a shot at answering your question, but your thread caught me eye. I’m running 21100-60032 which was from 76 (I can’t remember the exact date) and Jim C was a big contributor to a thread I started when I was converting back to a stock carb, he indicated it was a good choice for my application.

Are you going to run a fuel return line? What’s prompting the change?

I don't know about the specific differences between the two....but I've been quite happy with the couple of oem 012s that I'm running.

Thanks for your post. My non USA 1976 truck has no smog and no fuel return line. My current aftermarket H3362 or 21100-61012 is made in China. Almost everything on my restored truck is now Toyota except the carb. It runs well as Is but want to go with the OEM Aisin carb.

Jets may be different between the two but I don't know in which way.
The biggest functional difference I see is that the 21100-61010 has a choke breaker that the 21100-61012 does not have.
Thanks. I’m not familiar with the purpose of a “choke breaker” on a de smogged 2F with a manual choke. I’m leaning towards replacing with
OEM 21100-61012.

@Ackcruisers

Did you ever mount the 61010 carb?

I think the jetting is quite different from the 61012, as well as the choke breaker.

Best I can find (but haven't verified) is the 61010 primary is 1.44 / 2ndary is 2.30 as these were 2F World non-smog carbs on both 40s and 55s.

Don’t forget the height difference.
