Fj40 axles with 6 lugs? (1 Viewer)

Good morning everyone my 1972ish fj40 axles have 5 lugs but a set of 1975 fj40 axles I acquired have 6 lugs. Is there a difference in these two axle sets or something else going on?I can post pics when I get home this evening.

The axles on your vehicle are not Toyota if they have 5 lugs.

I’m gonna bet Ford 9” in the rear and 44 front.

Thank you. Just got home and looked at the axles I was referring to and the set on my fj40 project and found that they matched LOL! I didn’t think they were different but the person I bought the project from originally noticed the lugs on the new one and said it was different than the one I got from him. Nope he was wrong!

from 1998 and newer they are 5 lug
all Landcruisers before that were 6 lug
