Hi all,

I am sitting here with dirty hands, waiting for a reply :)

The valve spring covers /lids /washers are different for the exhaust and intake valves.

I have 6 rotating ones with bearings inside and 6 normal ones.

Which go onto which valves? It seems to fit both ways but only one way can be correct.

F series manual doen't show...

Kind regards
Bernt

Any chance of a photo? I'm having trouble figuring out what you might be talking about, and don't remember any "lids" on valve springs in F or 2F engines.

Spring seats, stem seals, keepers?.....yes.
Covers/lids/washers/bearings?.....not.

Bernt,
The valve rotators go on the exhaust valves.
Also, check all the valve springs for length. If there are 6 short ones, they go with the rotators.

Hi Jim.

Thank you very much.

I eventually figured that as well but confirmation is very good for sleeping easy :)

The springs are all the same length but I also had them sorted still with the rototators so they are back in the right place anyway.

Tonight I 'll be putting the head back on and then it is 'go time' - can't wait...

Regards
Bernt
