Length needed - OEM FJ40 crank start handle

Hi guys I have poured over numerous threads relating to the crank handle, and the facts seem to be as follows: FJ40 crank handle - 850mm LOA FJ55 crank/spare tire handle - 1005mm LOA Can someone with an FJ40 handle (the shorter type) pls confirm the length of 850mm is indeed the TOTAL length...

Thanks. That’s good to know. I’m not going to try and start with it, only interested in turning it to adjust timing. The socket size is 46mm.

If anyone has a crank that will help me adjust cam to TDC please let me know. Just read that a 1990 Mazda truck uses same crank for jack.

Place cruiser on flat surface. Shift cruiser to the highest gear.

Release parking brake.

Go to the front tire/wheel where your distributor is at.

You can rock that wheel back and forth quit easily and keep an eye on your distributor to see where the pointer lands.

No need for crank handle. You can get it to TDC in 2 minutes
