Wanted FJ40 (1979) Rear U-Channel Bumper (1 Viewer)

Need the u-channel bumper that is normally riveted to the frame/gussets
and has a weld near the shackle. This is NOT the bumperettes but instead
a request for the bumper that the tail-lights screw into.

Bumper must be in good to great condition as this is for a restoration. Paint is irrelevent
as this will be refinished by me.

This part is actually part of the frame not a bumper. Prior to 9/72 there are a number of versions and tail light bracket bolted to the end of each of the rear frame member. 9/72 to 12/78 has a rectangular opening for tail lights. 1/79+ had the rectangular opening but the frame was different. The angle brackets on the back are riveted on. Button heads bolts would look close but getting those still attached to a used rear frame member then using button head bolts on the top and bottom would give you a close to original look.

ive a 79 used cross member used. its original but not in excellent shape. will send you pics if interested.
otherwise definitely check out @Awl_TEQ if not worried about it being original . seriously nice workmanship.
