My FJ is on the boat and due to land in Houston on the 17th! I want to thank all you guys for your insight. I was able to change some of the "options" they talked me into after listening to everything you guys said. Ended up saving a bit of money and now have what I really wanted. I am excited!
:bounce:

how long did the dealer take to finally get what you wanted?
i only ordered mine junly 1st. and the dealer has called me with the " we found one kiiinda like you want, but...." story.
so far, im sticking to my guns.
just wondering how long it might be until they verify one is "assigned" to me.
hammer

I bet we are on the same boat?
Mine is due to land at the port of Portland this coming Saturday the 15th.

It will sit there probably until Monday the 17th and get the rack, hitch, and locking lug nuts installed, then trucked up to my area hopefully by Friday.

My dealer didn't even try to sell me one that was in the area. I picked my options and they ordered it. I just was talked into some "extras" that I decided I didn't want nor need and was able to get those stopped since they are added after it lands in US. I can't believe it is already on the boat. I ordered it less than 6 weeks ago!

They are telling me 10 days from the day it lands. That seems just too long to me. Perhaps I should go get it myself. hehe:idea:

i think they are banking on me to crumble and be talked into something they have on the lot.
i will keep having to remind them, i dont NEED it, i only WANT it. so i can wait.
BTW..what color?
i went for the black cherry or voodoo blue, with only the #1 package, with or without the aluminum whells...black are fine.
roof rack too. everyone said dont do the rack, but a Gobi..ect....but i have a full sized tradesman on my 60, which i am keeping.
i only hope i can wait.....im already making "payments" into my savings account.
nothin' like planning ahead!

I got a Voodoo Blue Manual 4x4 with roof rack, and hitch. Unfortunately they "told" me at the time I ordered that I had to choose option package #2 since I was getting a manual 4x4 because that was the only way they were making them NOW. I am not too convinced that is true, but oh well... it is almost here!!!!!

Most dealers can't get you one in the area - dealers rarely trade a hot commodity like the FJ...at least not yet for my region.

Did it arrive on the boat? Did you get it? They are telling me anywhere between Friday and Tuesday it will be in my greedy little hands!! (::bounce:

It sure did, even a pic of the boat.

Mine should be at my dealer tomorrow, and I already told my supervisor I am taking Friday off to enjoy it, and also to get a Clifford alarm installed.

It had the port installed items put on yesterday, and should be inline to get put on the truck today, and he should make the drive up here Thursday.

Thanks for the picture of the boat. The comments about the N. Korean missiles on the other forum made me laugh because don't you know I have been thinking about that! Good Grief, I haven't been worried about world peace, been worried about my FJ!
