fJ 80 1991 and dash warning light

:crybaby: I have a fj80 gas 1991, it has on the dash the warnig light "engin shape" on but the 80 run well.

toyota service told me that the computer downlode 3 error code but they have not the service book (becouse this toy was not imported in Italy by the official importer) and so we can not understed wich are the problems.

Some of you have code translation?:eek:

or just to make usre it is not a dummy fault pull the efi fuse out of the under hood fuse block out for about 5 minutes and reinstall (should be the 15 amp one) turn on the truck and see what happens. you can also jump the terminals te1 and e1 on the reader block and count the flashes of the light on dash. need two peopel but pretty easy.

1) No reason not to see what's there before pulling the fuse.

2) 5 minutes? Nothing wrong with that, but 5 seconds is long enough.

3) Why would you need two people? Pretty sure I've done it myself: Stick the paper clip in, then go hop inside.

easier wtih a second person thats all, WTh do I know. I have only ever shown code 28 for #2 o2 sensor as a fault.

I've never thrown one (but I've checked for stored ones anyway). I almost feel like disconnecting an O2 sensor just to see whether the ol' ECU actually notices. :)
