Hello. The other day someone knocked my driver's side mirror pretty hard while I was asleep. I tried to repair it but the pivot ball broke off and expoxy isn't holding it.

So I ordered one from cruiserparts.net I am expecting it any day now.

My question is how difficult would it be to swap them? I can see on my broken one where the wires connect behind the glass, but that would entail popping off the mirror. Is the other end of the cable anywhere accessable?

My Haynes manual is worthless for this. It gives it all of one sentance and no pics.

Thanks always for your kind help!

I am not following you. Why not just swap out the whole mirror, its just 2 screws and unplug the harness.

yup, just unscrew your old one off the door and you can unplug it, plug the new one in.......no need to take the mirror apart.

Okay so when I unscrew the two screws and pull the entire mirror away from the vehicle, the wires will unplug somewhere where I can get to? I don't mean to be obtuse, but I have only seen the end of the wires where they plug in directly behing the mirror itself. Thanks for your assitance.
