Fit of Aqualu Half Doors - 1975 FJ-40

I ordered a set of Aqualu half doors for my 1975 FJ40. These doors are pretty expensive.

The mounting hardware is fixed (cannot be adjusted). Even at full open position, the door does not open. Anyone had this issue? Right now we are looking to simply shave down the door stop so it can be opened. I was surprised that they would fit this poorly, given the expense.

Any thoughts? Thank you.

I bought the same doors several years ago and had the same issue. Just file down the door stop until the latch clears.

Send those door stops to me and I'll machine them down for a small fee.

how does the door contour fit to the door opening of the tub?

The contour fits well. It's not that big of a deal, but it's odd that they don't make them fit correctly. Shop that is painting them is filing.
