First Post/ Part Inquiry

Hello All
I've been checking out this site since shortly after buying my first Cruiser (86 HJ60 24v auto) a few months back. It's a great site full of tons of quality information. I kept meaning to join but always found a reason to put it off.

Anyway, while recently doing some work on the fuel system, I managed to break the union bolt with the bleed screw that leaves the fuel filter. I've been calling around to various places, and I've yet to find someone who stocks the part. I was told by Toyota that the part will only cost $14, but it will take over a month to order as there are none in stock in North America.

So I was wondering if anyone here either:
a) knew someplace that has the part in stock.
b) has an extra one the would be willing to sell. or
c) knows somewhere in the Vancouver, BC area that would be able to fabricate a new one.

You have the part number for it?

If so, I can get it and express mail it to you (a week or less).

Think of it as the last resort if you can't source it locally.

I think the bolt your talking about is the "banjo" bolt going into the filter housing.

Try contacting GandS cruiser parts. They are local to you. Maybe they can pull it off an engine they have.

I would also try posting in the classified section this request. Look for the diesel JDm parts classified section here on mud. Ask if anyone has one. You might be surprised.

I'd bet Steve has one at Extreme Bends. He's off Barnet Highway in Port Moody.

Thanks to all for the advice. I went to Extreme Bends and got the bolt, and everything seems to be running nicely now.
I appreciate the help and will likely need more in the not to distant future.
