Yeah, in my application I applied Monstaliner to some high quality, sanded, baltic birch plywood. Mostaliner did "okay" on the non-primed birch but it stuck extremely well to the test sample using Chassis Saver. I also believe this reduced the total amount of Monstaliner that I needed to use.

Since I'm unable to make a decision and I have left over carpet from the tailgate project and some vinyl from motorcycle projects, I decided to do a quick and dirty temporary finish. In attached left over automotive grade carpet to the top (using staples, in a technique that I learned recovering motorcycle seats) and some vinyl left over from another bike project (black and KTM orange). I slapped it on, and covered it in stickers I've been collecting. This'll do until I am ready to commit.

That is fun! I always enjoy seeing how people personalize projects with something unique. Well done.

1 coat of Chassis Saver is on. Geez this is strong smelling stuff. Monstaliner next weekend.

I just built some drawers and I used RockSolid deck resurfacer which is tintable and comes in different thicknesses. I got the idea when a friend used it a couple of years ago on an old deck. That was two years ago and it still looks good even with a grill and patio furniture along with regular foot traffic. I had mine tinted black. I also used a cheap 6x8 precut indoor/outdoor rug for the platform surface. I think it turned out pretty decent. The drawer faces held up well after our first trip. It should be easy to touch up if needed.
