Happy Friday, all!! Just wanted to stop in and say hello!! I finally picked up an FJ40 last Saturday. Been wanting one since high school and finally made it happen. She is a tastefully "driver" restored 1979....the fun is already beginning as I start my search for a hard top and ambulance door....ac is in the cards for this girl too. Anywhoo.....howdy!!

I do like those wheels. the BFG 33x10.50s that i have should work on those, no problem....correct?? I would really like to find a hard top first...but also would love to have originals and a matching spare.....

Yes, they fit fine, but some shops won't mount them because their computer will tell them that the rim is too narrow. I'm sure you can find a mom and pop place to mount them in Leander.

Also, check with the mud vendors to see if they can source those for you new. $700 for five rims seems outrageous.

Well, those are discontinued. I'd find some FJ60 chrome wheels for cheap and get them powdercoated if you really wanted the stock look.
