    Hi Guys,

Just found out that my first 2 74's left on the boat yesterday, I'm pretty pumped - although it will be atleast a month before i get them - probably even longer.

My wife thinks I'm crazy as I have been trying to calculate where the ship is every couple of hours, just to see how much closer it gets to Vancouver.

yep, i remember way back when my first 2 y4s and a 61 was coming in. i had the plane ticket booked for the wife and i to drive out to get the trucks at the dock and booked a week off to drive 2 of them back to Calgary... if i knew then what i know now i wouldn't have been so optimistic... i have had trucks sit at the dock HERE for 3 weeks. one glitch and you are toasted time wise...
best of luck with your shipping...
    cheers

Oh well, I am a patient guy. My swords get held up at customs for 6 weeks sometimes - and they cost alot more than a cruiser - and are a little more fragile.

    Let's see what happens.

BUT, the question begs to be asked, do you get as excited about them as you do these cruisers?
    ;^)

LOL, not quite as much, but the thought of owning a sword that is 800 years old, has a few hundred years of battle history, and is in prefect condition - that is appealing also (if you are into that kind of thing).

So Wayno... what happens if you buy a September 1990, and it arrives mid august? Will customs hold it for you for a few weeks?

well, if you get a nice customs officer and are willing to pay $15/day for storage and if the warf will hold them for you then no biggie BUT if you get a customs officer going through a divorce then you might find you paying shipping back to Japan or the joy of watching your pride and joy being crushed...
    i wouldn't take the risk.
now if you have a good contact in Japan, he will refuse to ship till the date is right...
    cheers

yep, that is the original FJ40 with H55f, 2.48 t/case and 4.11 gears welded rear, limited slip front, 3" lift with 35s, 8274,
i really loved that rig but i didn't like the old girl sitting around collecting dust...
that setup was perfect for wheeling in the mountains...
    cheers

Hey Louis, i'll be home on Van. island for the month of August, I'd be happy to road-trip one out to Ottawa for you... Used to live there, and been putting off seeing some old friends for about 5 years now. Good way to run some clean fuel through it before i hand over the keys. Once i get to Victoria with it, can i get to Ottawa from there???...hahaha
