I've searched but couldn't find the answer specifically, I'm sure it's already out there, maybe used the wrong search terms... anyway.

Are all the fiberglass roof panels the same for all model years? My roof panel is cracked in places and it is also in need of filling to get rid of sun damage, pitting etc.

I've located another roof for $150 off a later BJ42, which is less than what it will cost to repair mine at a body shop. Will it fit my '72?

I'm pretty sure the fiberglass top is cross-compatible with all 40 series (FJ and BJ) through 1984, but I'm not certain about a later BJ42. What year is it?

1961 to the first half of 1965 are different, as they are slightly longer.

I know that this info doesn't help you, but it might help someone else search info on fiberglass top panels

And a touch wider, iirc. I tried to.put a later model top on corrugated side panels and in the back it wasnt.quite wide enough

i have interchanged many a top .the only real difference is the metal piece on the front .the newer top has to be notched in the front to clear the wipers on the earlier models. and the bolt holes were not always the same on that piece other than that they right on.
