Fiberglass Tailgate Install (1 Viewer)

Dumb question - how do you bolt into fiberglass? Never done this before. Was thinking of searching some boat sites or emailing Gozzard (where the gate came from).

I assume I could just bolt thru but would prefer not doing this so the inside is smooth. Need to bolt on the lower hinges (3), latch, license plate bracket, and some other mounting hardware. Nothing too serious in terms of weight bearing needs.

Do they make some type of lag-bolt system where maybe you epoxy in the metal lag and then screw into that?

Through bolt....that is it on the gates.

You could laminate in a plate with nuts welded to it on the backside, and then build it up with glass and cover it....
