fiberglass leaf springs

Is it 100% fiberglass or some kind of composite like modern compound bow limbs are made of?

They look very similar to bow limbs. 100 layers of fiberglass mat wouldn't have anywhere close to the tensile strength required...must be composite.

That was my thought, I've seen a few bow risers break, but no limbs.

I was reading a an article in Petersons 4wheel and off road rag this past week and they were testing the fiberglass springs on a Heep on the Rubicon. the springs did not fail or sag at all. I did a search to see what kind of knowledge we have on them here.

Just explaining how this old thread got dug up.
