Fender flares (1 Viewer)

I have a 98 limited and it had the bulgy fender flares. I wish it would have came with the chrome accents on it or the smaller grey fender flares.

I was wondering if I take them off are there going to be holes on the side of my fenders? I know on the back bumper there is a hole but if anyone could help out or show some picks I would appreciate it.

Yes, Limited flares/trim is held on by bolts and there are holes in the doors and fenders.

This^^^ The smaller sr5 flares won't cover the holes either, so if you pull them you will be in the same boat as the 80 guys. Depending on what kind of rig this is you may or may not be ok with the holes.

Thanks guys. I just hate the fender flares on my runner because the previous owner scratched them up, hit another vehicle with it and its bent, or the sun has worn down the paint. I guess ill look into re-painting.

I have a 97 limited and the flares don't really bother me in size, but mine are kind of faded. I am considering wrapping mine in black vinyl or painting them along with my chrome bumpers.

Your can also use bedliner paint for your fenders for a more durable finish and off-road looking.
