Looking for a used cover for a 1977 FJ40 driver's side steering gearbox cover.

I've only seen those on overseas rigs, can't say I've seen one on a US rig

Usually, spot welded on the fender skirt. Mine was damaged from using larger tires and hard wheeling. This is a better idea of the piece I'm looking for.

so you are looking for the piece that is actually part of the fender?
the original parts pic you posted shows the rubber flap type skirt that attaches to the fender

Yes! I couldn't tell from the first pic. The rubber flap would be nice too.
