February Trail Ride: China Wall on Saturday, February 20th. Meet at Woodland Park Western station at 0800; depart at 0830.

Anyone want to lead it?

If not, I'm still wanting to go. I haven't been to China Wall before but have been to others near there. I'm game.

Any takers?

Note to anyone thinking of leaving Colorado....DON'T you'll regret it.......almost instantly.

Small group outing today; Luke met us at the Western to deliver the air tank and accessories. Sam, Todd, and Myself with TJ riding shotgun.

We started at the northern entrance.

Encountered a little bit of snow, but the rocks were clear and dry.

We went to the "wall", which Todd made look easy.

Then down to the river campsite for lunch. Afterwards, we went out the same way we came in. But had a minor tech problem--Todd blew a PS hose. We got that fixed after some trailside MacGyver-ing.

Once that was repaired, we proceeded out, and made a "left turn" to go up the ridge and get the awesome view to the south.
This trail had more snow, but still it wasn't too great an obstacle.

We then made the short drive down to the southern entrance, aired-up, and called it a day.

Hey Sam,

Not sure about when, but we really want to return. We were hit with a bit of that "you can never go home again" vibe here in MO.... and then the Rams....

After seeing these pics (and thinking of spring on the way) we'd like to be back sooner rather than later, but who knows.

If nothing else, hope to be back this summer for a trail run.
