Our Feb. tech day is set for the 19th and is being hosted by Iron Pig Off Road in Fredricksburg. It is going to be on tune ups and valve adjustments. It is going to be limited to working on 3 vehicles. We're going to do this by order of when you post up your response. Even though you may not have your truck worked on at this time, you should be there for the learning experience. Start time will be between 9 & 10. Once again please get with the crew at Iron Pig if you are one of the 3 that sign up to get your truck worked on to make sure they have the tune up parts necessary for your rig.

Also please check the tech day thread in the sticky section. Sam is doing a great job keeping this updated. Please post up any suggestions for future tech days in that thread also.

, Tom

We can work on my junk, could a tune up include finding an oil leak and a anti-freeze smell. I have both of those.

I'll take the 3rd spot if no one else is interested.

Mine needs a valve adjustment I bolieve but it's a pain to get it there.

Chris

I think anyone who has their truck used as one of the demo units should have to try out their new found power on the IPOR rock garden :steer:

Bob Bascome says he'll be glad to test drive your truck....maybe we can get Chris to spot so Bob doesn't break anything?

If I don't make it for the test drive I'm certain that Cam (Amateur Rock Racing Legend) or Vince (Mr. Rollover) will be willing ti fill in for me.

Hi,

I'll be there. I see 3 Cruisers are already signed up for the 3 slots - I'll sign up for "first alternate" in-case anyone no-shows :)

Looking forward to meeting you all then,

Hak

Sounds good, hope to see you there or maybe at the meeting

Welcome to the club and I'd love to see your truck. Don't have many diesels around here. Hope you can make it to the monthly club meeting tonight as well. We meet every first Wednesday at Kilroys Restaurant & Sports Bar - Springfield, VA at 7:30. Tonight's the night!

Bart

I'm new to the Cruiser world and think I will attend. I've got a BJ60 and its got valves too... Interested in a diesel to mess with? The truck might be there anyway getting sliders made up.

All,

It was great meeting everyone last Tech day, sorry I haven't been able to attend on of the club meetings. Is the tech day for 2/19 still on?

Thanks,
Chris

It sure is. Hope to see you there

Derelict, I saw your truck on the "members' rides" thread. Goodness, that RED is gorgeous! Bring that thing out to a meeting so I can drool over the diesel and H55. I might have to reinvigorate the 6.2/700R swap idea.

... so I can drool over the diesel and H55. .

That will make his truck rust faster and soon it will look just like yours:D

Haha, yes please. Lets not do that. She is pretty rust free as it is (at least, I couldnt find all that much when I looked but IPOR might find some...). I dropped it off at IPOR on Saturday for sliders and fuel filter change and a general check out so its down there right now. I might not be able to make the tech day this weekend as a few people and I want to head up to WV for the three day and since theres 2 feet on the ground where I am planning on going, the BJ60 is the best bet. Itll be completely undercoated very soon in order to keep the tin worm at bay. I am planning on the trail day at the end of this month and the next tech day for electrical stuff.

Im going to do the very tight and specific spots myself but the general coat will be done by Ziebart in Fairfax (City). Theyve done the undercoating on both of my parents trucks along with Rhinolining and they do a good job. All you have to do is bring it to a Ziebart location once a year for inspection and free touch up.
