Fan resistor bank lj78

Hi everyone.

So the fan in my lj78 does not work on the first 2 settings so I am looking to replace the resistors. where would I find this resistor bank? and can I just buy the resistor at a Canadian tire?

Just curious are you referring to the A/C fan switch that also contains the rotary type A/C thermostat?

The resistor is located in the passenger foot well behind the blower motor. Look for the plug near the blower motor.

sorry for late reply my internet has been down for a couple of days. So these resistors are not purchasable at a Canadian tire?

how much do they run for?

No, the resistor is kind of specialised.

I have, in the past, made them up with ceramic resistors, but it's not worth the time to do it.

As for cost, they are quite reasonable (at least the 24V ones are) and I'll know the cost of these 12V ones once they land here after shipping.
