So the LC Lover came with 33x10.5s and after-market rims. I wasnt a huge fan of the rims and I had some beautiful, shiny and polished factory rims I love the look of.
The tires on the aftermarket rims were basically brand new. My thought was to repurpose them and put them on the original RIMS but when I took them to Discount Tire they said that they would not fit because the rims are only 15X6 and you need a minimum of a 7.5 inch wheel to put 33s on.
So I put some 30x9.5s BFG All Terrain on them and bolted them on. The look good, but with a 3" lift I am left missing the larger tires.
Yesterday I was trolling bringatrailer.com and there was a FJ60, with factory rims rocking 33x10.5s on her. And that got me thinking "could" put on the 33s sitting in my garage and return the BFGs and save $1000 to put towards a EFI set up (possibly sniper).
Anyone care to share their opinion on this setup? Is it safe to roll on 15x6 rims with 33x10.5rq5s? Advantages? Disadvantages?
