factory steering arms question (1 Viewer)

question . is there a difference between steering arms for a drum brake and a disc brake front end . bolt pattern . i thought they where the same until later on when they went to the larger pattern .steering arms . like mini truck . just asking because i notice steering arms being sold on e-bay saying they would only fit drum brake axles only . so if that is true does that mean there is 3 different bolt patterns for the steering arms ,drum arms .small pattern disc arms ,and large pattern disc arms like mini truck ?

Steering arms pre 1979 had the same pattern(smaller) and used smaller studs(11mm) opposed to the 1979 and on knuckles, that had a larger bolt pattern, and used the 12mm stud.


Now, there are different tapers for the tie rods between 40 series, 60 series and mini…
