Factory Roofrack Load Bars (1 Viewer)

I just picked up an awning and plan to mount it to the factory rack. Its a Darsche Eclipse and weighs about 50 lbs. Does anyone see an issue with the factory rack?

Also, does anyone have a factory crossbar they are willing to part with? I have my two setup to hold my shovel and traction boards, and my cheap DIY setup would need to be completely changed if I have to move the bars farther apart to accommodate the awning.

I mounted my Ironman 8' awning to my factory crossbars. Just drilled some holes and sourced some longer bolts so it would fit. I only used two of the three brackets, but mine only weighs 27lbs. No issues and it feels really secure.

@Somebodyelse5 had a massive awning mounted to the factory rack on his 100 before he sold the truck. No problems, to my knowledge.

no problems at all. @ncavi10 is successfully still running that setup too.
