SOLD factory footman loops (1 Viewer)

Looking for 6 OEM footman loops. The removable ones from the rear tub corners.

my soft top has 3 loops on each side so I need the 6 from early soft top cruisers that screwed on preferably. I did buy some generic footman loops but they are not curved to the tub. I may just try to bend them but I think they are cast and may break.

I just did mine and they bend pretty easily.

I’m curious what year your 40 is mine is a 1973 hard top but came with footman loops.

'79, the one in my sig line (if you are on your phone the sig line will show up if you tilt your phone sideways). I converted it to an early tailgate so those footman loops I have but need to figure out the corners. Maybe I'll just try the generic ones first.

I have 4 left over if you want them I bought mine from McMaster-Carr they are 2 5/8 between centers which is the stock dimension.

I bent mine also, it is easy. Use a vise to hold it if you go that route.

Which loop did you purchase?

These. 2 5/8 on center (I looked at my pic and I'm not on the center) about 1/2" tall, about 5/16" clearance for the strap. I plan to strip the plating and weld them on so didn't want stainless.

Some don't look stamped like these. I also wanted ones that are stamped (look more like stock).

Where do these mount? Could they be used for the straps of a bikini top?

yes they could be used for a bikini top. A lot of times they come with a bikini top. From the factory the tailgate had 3 on each side, barn doors did too. At some point they went to two per door. Each corner of the tub had 3 as well.
