Here's a neat little tidbit, the F Sport comes with frame/chassis dampers. These are patented by Yamaha, and have been seeing increased use in many applications. Some may be familiar with them from the snowmobile market from almost a decade back.

The snowmobile video shows it off the best. The theory certainly is neat....



 
interesting concept.

I think with cars being so thin these days, it could help reduce body movement against the forces.

I'm not sure I can trust it in an SUV. If an SUV requires this damper, that only means it's not rigid enough to handle bumps. So how can it handle drawers, gear etc?

Strength and rigidity aren’t necessarily the same. Think about titanium which is lighter than steel and more flexible, but also stronger. I could see these used to help provide the rigidity expected (dampening vibration and flex) with different frame materials in play
