Did you have to cut your tranny hump to fit it in there? All the write-ups I have found so far are for a SBC and this tranny. I saw a picture were the hump was built out on the side and built up for the shifter.

are you talking about a 40 or 55??
no experience with a 40, but there are planty here to give you an answer, as for the 55, yes it will need some hump and floor mods

Sorry forgot. It's a 71 /40. I have heard that a 1" body lift will make it fit better but I don't really want to do that unless I have to. O well work is keeping too busy to starte on it now, maybe next month.

1" body does help....I'm working to take my body lift out right now tho, see if it fits or not.
