I went to the local Fisher Auto Parts, ordered three filters, bought bulk fuel line, and started from scratch. How many filters do you have on that thing? If the fuel is that dirty, maybe you need to flush the tank and start over. No wonder the poor truck is unhappy.

i drained the gas tank to allow me to remove the fuel filter under the seat, right off the gas tank.

i could not believe how bad it was.

anyway, to get to it, i had to take off the passenger side of the bench seat.

when i did, i found that the tank was secured by a wire (see pic) how should it be secured?

also, i assume that what i am seeing inside the tank is rust. any suggestion about cleaning that up?

finally, i am thinking about ordering the fuel connector from cool cruisers. any suggestion about that?

again, any help is greatly appreciated.
